Every New Rattitude dog goes home with a bone-shaped collar ID tag engraved with a unique 4-digit identification number and New Rattitude’s toll-free Lost Dog Hotline. It is very important that you keep that tag on your dog’s collar at all times so that we can help in the recovery process if the dog were ever to get lost. Our Hotline operator can identify the dog by the ID number, determine where the dog belongs, and work with the “finder” to ensure the dog’s safe return. If there were any difficulties locating the dog’s family, we can find a nearby New Rattitude member to take possession of the dog until the return can take place.              When your NR dog needs a replacement collar, please remember to transfer the NR ID tag to the new collar. It’s also a good idea to make note of the hotline number and the dog’s ID number so that you can order a replacement tag if the original gets lost or becomes unreadable. New tags can be ordered at pet stores like PetSmart or, more cheaply, via on-line vendors on eBay.
