Save a Rat Terrier’s Life
By Becoming a Foster Parent
Can you join New Rattitude to help us rescue Rat Terriers from shelters or from neglectful or abusive living conditions? So many dogs desperately need space in rescue to have a shot at a new life.
New Rattitude does not have a shelter or other physical location. Instead, we operate through a network of volunteer foster homes. Our foster parents are individuals who give needy dogs a temporary sanctuary that is safe and nurturing while we work to match the dogs with qualified permanent adoptive homes. Watching a broken, scared, at-risk dog blossom in foster care and develop a new “Rattitude” toward life gives an immense sense of satisfaction.
New Rattitude supports our foster homes in many ways, We pay for the vetting that each dog needs and we also provide other resources and necessities. CLICK HERE to see a list of the ways New Rattitude supports our foster homes. Besides offering day-to-day support for our foster parents, New Rattitude departments coordinate marketing/publicity for the foster dogs, manage the adoption application process, organize transportation, and facilitate networking between foster homes.
People often think that they couldn’t foster because they would get too attached to the dog. But isn’t saving the dog’s life worth it? Is getting involved and risking a piece of your heart worse than knowing a dog may suffer or die because a rescue home was unavailable? CLICK HERE for one person’s story.
